2010 Year in Review - Canada's Top 10 YouTube Videos

With 2010 coming to a close, it's time for the numerous year in reviews...a chance to look back at the year that was and remember the good, the bad and the down-right stupid. From television channels to magazines to websites, everyone comes out with their list of the most significant, the most beautiful or the most hilarious “things” of the past year. It’s a great opportunity to look back and see how “tuned-in” we were to pop-culture, news, sports & random funny videos from the past 12 months.

Recently, YouTube released their list of the Top 10 Videos of 2010.

“The most-watched YouTube videos of 2010 reflect the people, places and events that captured our attention and imagination throughout the year,” said Mia Quagliarello, YouTube Community Manager. “YouTube has become the world’s town square – a place where culture is created and shared.”

I believe they forgot to add; and a place where time is gloriously wasted!

#10 - OK Go have a number of amazing music videos, but my all-time fav from this band is #10 on Canada's top 10 most-watched YouTube videos of 2010...anyone up for a game of Mouse Trap?


#9 - Tom Brokaw's viral clip were he explained Canada to our southern friends was a hit while I was at the Olympics and worth another view.


#8 - Oh... Canada, a viral rap video about the Great White North was a video I’d never seen before but glad I’ve seen it now.


#7 - Justin Bieber – I don’t get it but this video came in at #7...I couldn't embed the video but click on the link to see a little girl crying over the Biebs.

#6 - The first appearance of Double Rainbow...the song! 


#5 - Greyson Chance performed Lady Gaga's Paparazzi on the piano and became an instant celebrity and eventually signing a record contract with Ellen Degeneres's label - check out the expressions on the folks in the crowd.


#4 - The original double rainbow video...Paul Vasquez gets really really really really really excited about being able to film a double rainbow.  My favourite comment by a user in response to this video...RAINBOWGASM!

#3 – Best TV Campaign of 2010 - this was the first commercial.


#2 – I’m a Ke$sha fan and got a good laugh from this parody "Glitter Puke"...can you believe it received more than 50 million views?


#1 - Antoine Dodson goes on a rant about an attempted assault on his sister; his rant is turned into a song and is good enough to be the most viewed video of 2010...this must be a sign that the Apocalypse is near. The most popular video of 2010 – WTF???
